More snow than we want!

So today all my room mates were suppose to leave for their homes, but due to the weather they were all canceled......but they have been on the phone all day, and they all have new flights, that hopefully don't get canceled again! We now have a foot of snow. I don't' doubt if there's more. The roads are terrible! I'm so glad my Dad is driving up to get me!

Oh, also, church was not canceled this morning so Holly and I danced in two services to a song called "You Alone" by David Crowder. It was live, and the musicians messed up the beginning of the song, but I felt like it went really well anyways. Second service went really well! Our pastor said that it brought tears to his eyes. Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!

So, now back to the snow. So Holly decided that she would have a better chance of getting home if she flys out of PDX, so she is coming home with me and she will leave Christmas Eve morning.

Well, I can't wait to see you all! I hope the snow stops here so I can get home!

Snow Snow Snow!!!

So it has been snowing here for quite a while now, and we are up to about 9 inches. It's so exciting having snow, but at the same time not really. It doesn't stick together, so we can't really make anything out of it, so all that's left to do is drive in it, and driving in it stinks to no end. Plus it's making my situation with driving home on Monday even worse. It's suppose to snow tonight, Tomorrow, Monday and Tuesday. I also think I'm not thrilled about it cuz I'm not with my family and cousins. Oh well, I'll be home in a couple of days.......I hope!!!!

Oh and another update....Holly and I have been talking with the pastor at our church about dancing there on a Sunday for a while now, and so finally we got a date set up so we could meet with him and talk to him about it. Well unfortunatly they scheduled the meeting when I had to work, so I wasn't able to be there, but they talked about it and he said that maybe in January we could do something. When they were finished talking, they prayed about it, and when they were through he said that he was starting a new series on worship the following Sunday, and he thought that it would be great if we would dance then! So we picked up the music on Tuesday and started working on it. Holly and I are so excited to be dancing tomorrow, so if you read this before then, keep us in your prayers!

Merry Christmas!!!!

I know it's been a while since I've updated you all....well actually it's been a really long time. i was just putting pictures on Facebook and thought I should put a few on my blog. So everything is going pretty well. It actually was my turn to write on my ballet companies blog. If you would care to read that one its www.paradosinews.blogspot.com. We update it every week, so if I haven't written on mine, you can probably hear about me on the other one.

So right now we are working on our new school of the arts. We have been painting for two weeks now, and all thats left is some sanding, the floor, and a few other last minute things. It will open January 12th. It's pretty exciting.

So it's been snowing quite a bit up here. Today it snowed but by the afternoon it was melted, but then it kept on snowing off and on. It's suppose to snow tomorrow and Friday I think, and then again Sunday through Tuesday. I am suppose to be picking up Danielle from Sea Tac on Monday and then both of us will then drive home. But if the weather is really bad then we will take the train home, which wouldn't be bad.

I can't wait to see all of you again!

Dress up

So just to explain the pictures, last Thursday a new starbucks opened near our town house. So Holly and I went to go get some free coffee and thought it would be nice to get another one and bring it to one of our other room mates, Cara, who works at a shoe store in the mall called Journeys. Well, when we got there, Cara thought it would fun to give us ugly shoes to try on(some of them were cute). So one pare of shoes led to another and soon we were trying on other stuff alog with our amazing shoes. So as you can see I ended up gangsta/emo....kinda. We ended up staying there 2 hours, which wasn't the origonal plan, but we had alot of fun anyways. All of our tummy's were sore the next day from laughing so hard. Kinda sad, I know, but I guess that's what happens when two ballerina's try to be gangsta, or emo, or whatever we were.

The Weekend

The weekend flew by so quickly, but I crammed in alot. Friday Holly and I had a girl over for dinner that we met at church. Her name is Brittany. She is so sweet and I am looking forward to getting to know her better as the weeks go by. After she left we watched Heroes and finished season one. Holly, Cara, and I watch it and we are hooked! It's the greatest!

After recovering from a long night of watching Heroes, I woke up and went to work. It was pretty uneventful, other than I bought a really cute white and blue sweater-shirt for my cousin.

Sunday Holly and I went to Bethany Baptist. They had a jesus painter there, and he was great. He painted during worship. I wish he could paint every sunday. Then after church Brittany came over again for lunch and then we went and met some other girls that we met at church and went this huge farm, that had a corn maze and pumpin patch and a they had apumpkin sling shot which was really cool, and then they had all kinds of really yummy food. Holly and I shared a caramel apple. It was so good! We went through the corn maze and it was Narnia themed. To enter you went through the wardrobe and then proceeded to find 6 other differnt locaions, like the witches castle and the beaver's dam. If you had a different hole punch from all six locations then you got rock candy at the end. We found them all, and I think it was the funnest corn maze I've ever been through.

Please be praying for my grandpa. They found out he has pancriatic cancer and he starts treatments tomorrow. Praise the Lord that He is in controll of everything!

Frivilous Frolicking

So the title of this blog was inspired by my dear friend Carissa, who is at my Grandma's with Tasha and my Mom and I am on speaker phone with all of them. It's really interesting, and loud, but it makes me miss them alot! I can't wait till the next time I get to see them! Hopefully I will be back the weekend of the 24th, but it's not for sure.

Yesterday(saturday) I had my first day at work at Bath and Body Works, and it was really boring. All we did was watch a video and fill out this monster booklet that took 4 hours. It was not really fun at all, but I am thankful for the job and I know it will get better as time goes on. So when I got done at Bath and Body, the manager at Gymborie called and told me that I got a part time job there as well! I am so excited cuz I really needed this other part time in order pay rent and groceries and everything. It is so awesome to see how the Lord is providing everything.

Then later that evening a bunch of us went over to Joel and Tennille's house for dinner and a meeting about our 1st premier of "a walk with paul." Since Paradosi is a nonprofit organization, we are having a live and silent auction there to raise money for our soon to be opened studio called Surrendered School of the Arts and for our much needed shuttle bus to take us to and from the churches that ask us to come and dance. The majority of the meeting was talking about what we will be auctioning off and who is going to ask which places to donate different items, and I am so excited to see what the Lord is going to provide. He has already given us so many things, and I am looking forward to what else is coming our way. So please be praying for us as we are getting ready for that night. It seems like a big job, but I know the Lord will provide everything we need.

Today(Sunday) Holly, Rachel and I checked out a sunday school class at Bethany Baptist and we really enjoyed it. Then after the service we went over to the Pastor's house for a soup and salad for newcomers, and it we had a great time. I'm so glad we found such a great church and are quickly getting to know people. We also had tons of opportunities to talk about Paradosi and the future school of the arts. We got many people excited about enroling their children in the school, and also about possibly performing(or worshipping) in the Bethany church. I find myself giving out the buisness cards left and right, and can't wait to see who the next lucky person that the Lord will put in my path to tell about the ministry that I am so blessed to be apart of!

Mondays are wonderful!

The weather is wonderful today. Mondays are great cuz we don't have ballet class or rehersals, so I have the whole day to do whatever I want! Well not for long cuz I got a job now, but I don't start till Saterday. So I decided to spend one of my last free and sunny Mondays at a a park in down town Puyallup. It was a perfect day to read a book for a few hours and then take a nap in the wonderful sunshine which won't be here for much longer. I am reading a book called "To Live as Christ" by Beth More and then I also just started reading "The Shack" which I have heard many different oppinions, so I thought I it was time I read it. It was so nice and relaxing. I wish every monday could be spent reading and napping in the sun!

Yesterday Holly and went to Seattle to visit Mars Hill Church. I absolutely loved it and wish that there was a campus in Puyallup. There isn't, but we really like Bethany Baptist. So after church, we went to this cupcake place called Trophy Cupcakes, and I think that they were the best cupcakes I've ever had in my life!!!! The one I had was chai, and it was delicious! Not too sweet, and not too rich. It was amazing! After we got cupcakes we walked around for a bit and Holly got some cute earrings and I got a birthday present for Caleb. I can't believe he is going to be 10 soon! He is getting so big! I'll have to wrestle him now while I can still beat him, cuz it won't be long till he'll be the one winning!

Then on the way home we got stuck in traffic, but fortunatly we got to talk to Belle which was so nice! I miss her so much! I can't wait till christmas when we are all together again, it seems like we've all been apart for months and months, but it has only been a month and a half. I think it just seems like it's been forever cuz I haven't had a job, so I don't have enything to do in the afternoons except be on the computor, watch tv, eat, or talk to my room mates, if they're home. I have a job though now at Bath and Body Works and start Saturday, which I think I already said, but that's ok. I think it will be a good place to start at, and I am definitly going to be liking the discount!

Later in the evening Cara, Holly, and I went out to Olive Garden. We had such a fun time just talking, and I don't think we ended up leaving till 9:30ish. Then we came home and watched some I Love Lucy episodes. The whole day was so fun! I wish we could do that every sunday!
